Timeslips and Microsoft Windows XP
Best U.S. Holdings has not certified
Timeslips,
versions 10.5 SR3 or lower, as compatible with Microsoft Windows XP
Professional. This does not mean that Timeslips is incompatible with XP
Professional (or XP Home
Edition, although XP Home Edition is not recommended for professional
use). Best U.S. proactively examines basic compatibility during
Microsoft's Operating System (OS) beta period. Initial testing using XP
has not revealed any functional incompatibilities. The only issues that
have been encountered are interface incongruities.
Solution: If you use Windows XP Professional as
your operating system, it is strongly recommended that you run it in
"Classic Mode" until software vendors optimize their product code to
take advantage of XP's unique capabilities. "Classic Mode" allows you to
continue with the look and feel of Windows 95/98, while being able to
take advantage of the other advanced XP features.
All newer releases of
Timeslips, including 2010, are 100% compatible with Windows XP
Professional, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003/2008 Server, and Terminal Services.
